I Create 7 Ads with AI in 30 Mins

One of my favourite ways to create ads with AI is find ad formats I can easily templatize.

Let me explain…

I came across this post on Blinkit’s instagram. And I immediately thought that’s a great collab between two brands and some fun opportunity to create killer copy.

So that’s exactly what I did and here are the results…

The beauty of these ads is that from the image generation to the text renders, every thing was done with AI. I just provided a basic prompt and the copy that went on the two billboards.

But here’s the thing: Because I had the capabilities of the powerful Nana Banana Pro in my hands, I could channel my creativity right.

If you want to do the same, here’s how to start:

1. Pick an image you can templatize.

2. Clearly mention your instructions. In my case, I wanted the Tinder billboard to be on top and the fonts to be the same.

3. Once you start generating the outputs you want, just repeat the same prompt and mention: “Just like the image you created before“ to keep it uniform and aligned.

Honestly, I’m still so surprised how well Nano Banana Pro handled the text rendering. From the headlines and subheads to the logo and taglines, everything is perfect.

The other thing (non-technical) that makes this big idea (of putting a dating app and a grocery delivery app on the same spectrum) is the power of contrast.

The context is polar opposite and yet, the excitement, entertainment and clever banter comes from using similar words to describe both.

It’s conflicting yet complementary in the perfect sense.

So here’s your lesson: While AI is the technical component that enhances your ad production skills, the meat is still in the idea, copy and the quality of your thinking. So make sure to never skimp on those.

If confused about how to start with these AI-based spec ads, always choose a format that’s simple so you can experiment with copy and big ideas because ultimately that’s what will move the needle.

Reminder: You don’t like the ads I produced because the billboards are fancy or the text rendering is perfect. You wouldn’t even notice it if I didn’t tell you.

You like these ads because there’s conflict, contrast and a whole lot of entertainment.

And that’s what matters.
